The context was a reply to a question about getting rid of leading whitespace WORD skips leading delimiters regardless of what the > delimiter is. It will skip leading '.' or any other specified delimiter. Yes but only one delimiter can be specified for a particular execution of WORD. If the delimiter is '.' it will not skip leading spaces - as Swiftforth demonstrates. -- Gerry
