It has at best half the options of the original Maps app.  No street view.
No transit, just car directions.  Clunky generally. I had to download
another app for the transit directions the old Maps offers.

I finally got street view, but in fewer places and it takes multiple steps.
 So how do you save bookmarks?  I found a "history" list that took multiple
steps again.

It shows my wi-fi location, but can't get it right-- first it was across
the lake, and it's still off-center.  It has the address wrong and won't
let me correct it.
