I stitch USGS maps together after converting them to tiff. I have a program that lets me crop the borders off of the tiff. Not the easiest to do in Alaska as we are so far North our maps latitudes have pronounced curvature and our longitudes have obvious convergence so the stitched maps are never perfect. What are you using to make the borders transparent and could you outline the process? -- <Bill> Brought to you from Anchorage, Alaska
