I have always run a healthy mixture of Intel and AMD based systems,
and aside from equally clocked Intel CPUs usually running circles
around their AMD equivalent, I have never felt any issue with either
vendor. But if one wants a moderately priced ECC system, there is no
alternative to AMD, by intel's voluntary choice.
