The cursor jumps (from the end point of typing to wherever the mouse last left the cursor) in Wordpad on both the ancient Toshiba Satellite laptop and the newish Gateway, so that instead of finishing the word I am typing (blind, being a touch-typist) the last letters pop up on a different line, perhaps in the middle of an unrelated word This never happens on the desktops, not even when writing in Wordpad. Where is this glitch -- in the software or in hardware controllers for the mouse on laptops? -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada)
