Australia's population was MUCH smaller and MUCH, MUCH, MUCH less reliant on fossil fuels back then. We were desperate enough to make oil from shale deposits (very, VERY expensively). The comparisons with how things were 80 years ago and completely irrelevant. Make no mistake: ALL available oil will be dedicated to essential services and the military. -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. www.avast.com
