I assume you meant: 

: ]execute[ ` ] execute ` [ ;

Is this example meaningful? It appears to coerce the compilation 
semantics of a word outside a context of defining a new word...

Not sure what you mean by this? Could you correct?

I'm assuming TEST4 is immediate while TEST5 is not ... this seems to work 
for me as expected...
