It has some more features, but the database is the same.

As Stan Brown said, the wikipedia has a tiny explanation:

<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KeePass>

"KeePassX, a multi-platform open source KeePass clone for Linux and
macOS, built using the Qt libraries.[28] As of December 2021,
KeePassX is no longer actively maintained.

"KeePassXC (KeePass Cross-Platform Community Edition) is a fork of
KePassX written in C++.[29]"

Then there is an article on it:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KeePassXC

«*KeePassXC*
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

KeePassXC is a free and open-source password manager. It started as a
community fork of KeePassX[2][3] (itself a cross-platform port of
KeePass).

It is built using Qt5 libraries, making it a multi-platform application
which can be run on Linux, Windows, macOS and BSD.[4][5][6]

KeePassXC uses the KeePass 2.x (.kdbx) password database format as the
native format.[7] It can also import (and convert) version 2 and the
older KeePass 1 (.kdb) databases. KeePassXC supports having key files and
YubiKey challenge-response for additional security.[2]

The Electronic Frontier Foundation mention KeePassXC as "an example of a
password manager that is open-source and free."[8]

An accompanying browser extension[9] is also available for Firefox,[10]
Google Chrome[11] and Microsoft Edge.[12]»

AND, it has a merge command in the "Database" menu. I forgot that the XC
fork has this, not the original program.
