Then reinstalling kernels and installing the new nVidia supporting kernel and then update it from the nVidia driver. I was helped by instructions I found online about this process as well as posting in my OS newsgroup and Mandriva is pretty easy to work with for a novice but I still had to bring up a root terminal to get the work done. So look around. You fail to mention the distribution of Linux you are but whichever finding the newsgroup or forum is a first step in learning enough to do the job. bliss
