Syria and Libya are examples of the US standing back from the police task, and letting the powers that be flesh it out. They are still at it many years later. Interesting tidbit: Norway and Denmark had a very active involvment in the campaign to overthrow Ghadafi. Now it has surfaced that there were 5-6 attempted spectacular assasinations from Libya against officials here that were only avoided by vigilante intelligence, and some in the very last minute. One of these was against our king in 1978. So this campaign may have been a payback. Lots of things happen in closed parliament sessions. -- mrr
