It is sad that a once might tech company killed off its major client base. But seriously, the way you get the Google Maps App is from the App store (like any other app). There is one real, though small, downside. If you click on an address in another app (like your browser) it will automatically open Apple Maps, leading you straight to a certain death. To open a location in Google Maps, you need to cut-and-paste.
