Radicale sounds like a simple caldav server for linux, py driven, and it
is in the repos for Ub and is kin.

Also:

https://radicale.org/clients/
// Radicale has been tested with:

     Android with DAVdroid
     GNOME Calendar, Contacts and Evolution
Mozilla Thunderbird with CardBook and Lightning
     InfCloud, CalDavZAP and CardDavMATE //
