After 11 years of faithful service my Okidata c5150n printer developed a
problem with the black image drum leaving a white line about 1/16 inch
wide about 1 1/2 inches from the left edge, the black toner has been
showing 0% for the last 2 months but still printing fine till now.
A new K toner cartridge made no difference so I knew it had to be the
image drum.
Searching on Amazon,ca I found original *Okidata* image drum's ranging
from $105.00 to $347.00, cdn, The real price for this item is about
$152.00 cdn, on further sorting by lowest to highest price I found an
OEM *Okidata* drum on sale for $99.00 Only 1 in stock so I promptly
ordered it and it came yesterday, I installed it with a new toner cart
and the printer prints like new again, this is after 11 years of
service. :-)
BUT this is not the end of this happy story, whilst browsing on Amazon
I ran across a New *okidata OEM* black K toner cartridge for $6.69 cdn.
not a reman or compatible but *brand New in the box* genuine OKI cart,
needless to say I ordered it (only 1 in stock) This seems to be an
Add-on item which I was not aware of, and it arrived today.
Prices on Amazon for the same OEM cart range from $85.00 to $487.00 cdn.
their prices on many items are sure crazy, you really have to research
what you buy. -

Rene
