Clearly you are looking for Linux to imitate a Mac and you carefully crafted your tests to show that. A pair of snowshoes is excellent for hiking the Rockies during winter months but not so great during the summer months. I have to say in 40 years in the computer field I have not had a situation where I have had to perform even one of your list of tasks. Ever. I'm sure an experienced Linux user could design a similar list of tasks that your Mac would trip over as well.
