There ARE cases where things go too far, and times when accusations ruin 
careers. I have known of teachers who have lost their careers over 
accusations of sexual misconduct, for example. But overall, the fact 
that society is tolerating bigotry less and that there are more 
consequences for bigotry is a GOOD thing. Slimer works to twist it to be 
bad. He promotes special entitlements for people he identifies with (as 
well as they rich) and rejects equal rights for others.

I think he was the one who recently pointed to a story where a Google 
engineer was fired for posting bigoted claims about women on an internal 
message board. He presented Google as the bad guys here... which was 
rather insane.

Right... there is no doubt there have been cases over over-reaction, but 
the general swing toward defending equal rights is a good thing.

She is facing consequences of her actions. So be it.

To many on the right, the very concept of equal rights is somehow wrong. 
And they use phrases like "political correctness" to try to demean the 
promotion of equal rights.

And, of course, socialism has nothing to do with this. The fact that 
Slimer associates equal rights with socialism, though, is quite telling.

Slimer wants special entitlements and fears losing the ones he has.

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They 
cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel 
somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.
