I am FAR behind on Gnome, though maybe will try it again. My "play" 
hardware is ancient, though, and last time I tried it would not run on 
my VM, but maybe it will now.

Slimer was speaking of the virtual workspace system as being different 
and good... I want to play with that if nothing else.
