If your newsagent has a good selection of different Linux magazines, you
can usually find a copy of the latest Mint, Fedora, and Ubuntu
(shudder!) at the very least - along with some less popular distros.

I've not tried any of these on-line CD/DVD shops.  I only mentioned
on-disk.com because Linux Mint uses them.
