Women seem wired to appreciate art, poetry and wordplay.  I can see
that as pushing higher brain functions if its stable over evolutionary
periods.  

Of course, as Quadi's examples prove, characteristics that are stable
over evolutionary periods may not be all that practical in the rest of
the organism's life.
