The "Great Dying" was, I believe, a mega flow volcano across major coal fields. We think WE'RE doing a global warming crisis. Then one theory about the K-T boundary was that debris tossed out of the crater and re-entering the atmosphere around the planet basically set the sky on "bake" and killed off pretty much anything that didn't live in water or burrow for a living. The planet and vertebrate life survived both of those. But it wouldn't have been fun. -- We are geeks. Resistance is voltage over current.
