Easy: You had to give up the identity of a light-beam from one RoR to 
another FoR in relative movement.

'Light' is a small section of all possible waves and if you move along a 
light-beam, this would cease to be light.

The postulate of 'constancy of speed of light' does not assume the 
constancy of such beams, but of the speed of light.

If light in one RoR is not light in another  FoR in relative motion, 
than other beams are regarded as light, which have the velocity c in 
empty space, but in a different space.

Light is actually what we see from the remote locations of the universe 
as stars in deep space. So our own past-light-cone is actually, what we 
call 'universe' and that we call 'space'.

Since this space is observer dependent, the speed of light is a constant 
in that space, too, since what we call 'space' is the past light-cone of 
the observer.
