Because judging by your own scripture, your god is either suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder, or he is in fact several gods. Even disregarding the theological contortions of trinitarianism, your Old Testament god is a vengeful, spiteful, violent deity who likes to smite and strike down and kill people on a global scale for any and all infractions (when he is not busy "testing" the faithful in inventive and cruel ways) ... and then he magically turns into the lovely-dovey god of infinite love, forgiveness and benevolence in the sequel. There's precious little "mono" about your theism, in other words....
