My main mouse is a Logitech M705 and they say I should get 3 years from a pair of AA's but I only get about 2.5 years. Still, that's not too bad, and the mouse has an LED that glows red when the batteries get low. I don't bother to turn off the mouse since it turns off by itself after a few seconds of being idle. Like Big Al, I tend to use the mouse throughout the day, with 8-10 hours being common.
