Self-publishing ideas

Hello:

It is obvious that academic establishment particularly mathematics have they own norms of value judgments regarding publications, etc.

I see many articles written here for years, I wonder if someone decided to self publish it.

Particularly I am interested about Einstein's relativity issues, so if for example "Pentcho Valey" who is posting here often, written any books about it , I would be interested to know information about the possible book.
