While I think the desktop is going to keep declining it won't be gone any time soon. Laptops are pretty much getting replaced with ultrabooks for those that don't need really killer specs and like nice, small and light laptops. Some great ultrabooks out there. The new Macbook 12", Surface Pro line are just a couple. The SurfacePro to me is the ideal ultrabook. Small, light and powerful enough to do most anything you want to throw at it. And it can be used as a tablet just fine too. Couple it with a Windows phone and you've got a very nice ecosystem surrounding it too. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Apple is the only one at the moment that I think needs to see laptops stick around. iOS devices are wonderful, but iOS just isn't a full operating system to do the things that a laptop can do that tablets can't. -- Lloyd
