How often do you see the contents of a library header?  They are the 
usual place to hide ugly code.

I guess that's were we disagree on language philosophy.  I prefer a 
language that provides the tools to add such extensions without having 
to update the language.  Most of your proposed ideas can already be 
implemented, so I doubt wrapping them up in yet another language will 
gain much traction.
