Enter this command (where namehere is the name of the volume) in a terminal window: lsof /Volumes/namehere (For instance: lsof /Volumes/2) You should get a listing of all files that are open on the volume in question, showing which applications have the files open. -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter.
