If I plug in the headphones on selecting headphones in Sonic I 
immediately get the background 'hiss' and notes will play.
If I select hdmi or default the hiss goes away but no notes are heard 
ove the Tv speakers. Just plugging in the older Pi with same software 
settings the notes play.

Are different settings required for Pi2 ?
