And it's much easier keeping a factory going than starting a factory.

There's all that talk about "vinyl coming back", which of course is 
relative.  But with few factories remaining, they are strained.  One local 
company gave up, selling their presses to some other company elsewhere, 
because they couldn't keep up with demands.  And since the presses are now 
getting old, apparently they can be fussy.

On the other hand, I don't think anyone is going to start manufacturing 
new record presses.
