Trump Team Scraps College Degrees 
for Hundreds of Federal Jobs

The Trump administration is moving to 
strip education requirements and create 
skills-based tests in hundreds of federal 
jobs as it seeks to reshape the civil 
service to be younger and more accessible 
to workers without a college degree.

The Office of Personnel Management has 
targeted more than 600 job classifications 
to review and already started removing 
"arbitrary" measures of competence, 
including college degrees, listed as 
requirements, OPM Director Scott Kupor 
told Bloomberg Law. The process is 
expected to take more than a year.
