Just not enough power, and I didn't have the heart to destroy an 
original with an engine swap.  I got 3 grand more than I paid for it, 
and the new owner loves it.

Right now, I'm building a modified MGB engine to stick in my MGA, along 
with a T9 5-speed.  I'm only a couple years behind on that project, but 
the block and crank are going to the machine shop next week.  A .060" 
overbore, high compression pistons, a fast street cam, larger valves, a 
little porting and SU HIF 4 carbs.  That should add at least 40% more 
horsepower, then I might add a supercharger.  It still won't beat the 
Midget, though.  As you may recall, the Midget can beat Fakey's 
imaginary Lotus.
