Hello jean-Marc,
i can't reproduce your problem.
I did the following test:
I use forky (Debian - testing)
I updated to thunderbird 140.5 which is in testing since today
i wrote an test email signed and crypted - all things worked well as the
years before (around version 78)
I use a cryptostick with my gpg key
The same way I sign this email
