I assume you mean dht from pkg-haskell-tools. Can you provide the 
modified version somewhere so we can test it?

That looks like a follow up error and the real reason is "in console 
output" that is not included.

That part is actually from mmdebstrap. You could try with a prebuild 
chroot.tar.
