This issue seems to be due to an unfortunate unplanned ABI change in wxWidgets, see: https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/issues/25327 The issue will go away once wxpython4.0 4.2.3+dfsg-2 migrates to testing. Will probably need to check if any other packages are broken by this change :( Scott
