The built-in editors that I know of are vim and the similar nano, run from a terminal. I never grew up with this style of editor, and I don't like them, but they're OK for emergencies. There should be plenty of web tutorials, you only need to do a few things. Once you have installation working, there are other editors. I like the editor in Midnight Commander (package name mc) for quick tweaks and Geany for coding work. Many people favour emacs, but I've never been that serious. -- Joe
