I don't personally use gnome, but I've just tried this in XFCE4 with a
dark theme and the latest Spyder version in testing (5.4.4+ds-1), and
the saving file window was dark.  Would you be able to try this again
with the new version of Spyder and let me know if the broken behaviour
still happens?
