Those sounds like different failure modes that what I posted, but I also get stuck keys and/or accidentally lean on keys intermittently. I will need to pay more attention to those failures. I have also read that multiple pointing devices -- mouse, touch pad, mouse button, etc. -- can fight each other for GUI input. I disabled everything except the mouse via Xfce, but the problems continued. David
