I set up a Time Machine server on my local net, using Mavericks Server. So far, I have two backup clients. One of them is working just fine. The other one appears to be backing up, but the Server's "Last Backup" field says "Unknown." If I go into the detailed backup summary, it shows "Unknown" for both Latest Backup and Earliest Backup. For history, it says "None." The client's Time Machine gives accurate info for these. So far it is just this one client (out of two) that is not showing the backup status information. Unfortunately, it is the status information that was one of my main reasons for setting up using Server instead of Time Capsule. I have spent more than an hour on the phone with Apple's support line -- mostly on hold. So far, I have not been able to speak to anyone who will admit to knowing anything at all about Server. So, I'm putting this out here in hopes that someone has a clue about what might be going wrong and what I might do about it. FWIW: I am running Mavericks Server on a brand new Mac Mini, purchased for the purpose. The client that is working is a 2012 MacBook Pro Retina running 10.8.5. The client that is not working completely is a 2009 MacBook Pro running 10.5.8.
