[...] The search operation of Appstream is probably searching only the local appstream database Yesterday evening I tried different things with Gnome-Software (try to add kde appstream as a repo, etc...) and Plasma-Discover. So Perhaps it has somehow inserted choqok metadata into the locala appstream database. That could explain why my appstream search is positive while yours is negative. Anyway, try: $ sudo appstreamcli refresh $ appstreamcli s choqok --details $ appstreamcli get org.kde.choqok.desktop $ sudo appstreamcli install org.kde.choqok.desktop $ appstreamcli s choqok --details and let us know the result If it does not work, sorry I have no more ideas, you would then be left to search a substitute of Choqok in the Debian Buster repos with equivalent features and your desired Twitter functionnalities, or upgrade to Bullseye.
