I have shown you both Tablet and Desktop modes and how the UI changes in
those modes. You also work to twist my words to when I note that YOU said MS
does not care about some software they ship with Windows you contradict
yourself in saying they DO care. Maybe you mean they care about some or even
most of the software they ship, but you have made it clear you feel they do
not care about ALL the software they ship with Windows 10 - even software
which has been common to Windows for years and is well known and fairly
often used.

Now this is one Windows 10 user request one can get behind! Ask
the right person and the default Notepad program in Windows is the
most used application in the operating system.
Along with other default programs, of course, like the good old
Calculator and jolly old Paint.
However, while the former two applications have seen updates in
previous versions of the operating system, Notepad has turned
antique with barely anything new added to the program. All that
could change by the time Windows 10 makes its debut.

Now, Microsoft wants to bring more stock apps to the Windows
Store. In an interview with CNN Money, Microsoft¹s Terry Myerson
the company¹s Executive Vice President of the Windows and Devices
Group stated that the company is hoping to bring Notepad to the

"Even applications like Notepad ‹ I hope that¹s in the store soon.
