Even on desktops they are not used by most people. I do have someone in my extended family who makes home videos and then sends them to people on DVDs... and I make DVDs for classes and the like. But we are edge cases. And frankly with an all-in-one I have never liked the placement of the DVD... I have a second monitor and I have to move it to get to the drive. When I upgrade my computer I will have the DVD drive on the desk. It will generally be pushed to the back or plopped in a drawer and not even plugged in. Would it bother me if they kept it? No. Does it bother me that they removed it... well, to be honest, when I first heard that I was a bit bothered - but when I considered it and thought of the reasoning and logic and lack of most people using them it makes sense. > You must remember that White Spurt and wRonG are highly skilled analysts > who know better than Apple what people want.
