I have not seen the speech, but, yeah, the whole point of such speeches is
for him to be a stand up comic. If you take it seriously you have deep
problems. For what it is worth, Bush used to do a pretty good job with them,
too... and so has Obama through the years.

There was a time we focused on technology and science... the U.S. got a man
to the moon and, even though it might not make us great, was able to create
the nuclear bomb. We had a focus on knowledge. Does not mean there were not
ignorant people in the U.S., nor that other countries did not have
intelligent people who focused on such, but now the U.S. has changed and
celebrates ignorance. Look how many deny man-made global climate change, how
many buy the young-earth nonsense, how many deny evolution, etc. These
things have even become political, with one party insisting that science and
knowledge are somehow bad.

It is insane.

He needs to learn to stop taking things out of COLA and attacking people's
personal and professional lives. It really is a sickness.
