Doncs, no, on jo treballo, que és al sector financer, no he vist mai
programari lliure i encara menys ningú que utilitzi GNU/Linux.  En
feines anteriors, tot i utilitzar Windows, podia fer servir programes
com Emacs, R, Python, fins i tot Latex, però en aquesta institució
financera on estic ara funciona tot a través d'un escriptori remot a on
és impossible instal·lar cap programa propi i que funcioni.  Tot està
centrat al voltant del Microsoft Office, i altres programes propietaris.
Els ordinadors centrals són mainframes de IBM que funcionen amb alguna
mena de Unix, tot i que la majoria del personal només hi accedeix a
través de interfície web.
