During initial ramdisk, the Mandos plugin runner tries to execute 
plugins including the mandos-client plugin using fexecve but that fails 
with ENOENT due to a missing /dev/fd -> /proc/self/fd symlink. 
Therefore, the package fails to provide a password for an encrypted root 
file system and thus renders package unusable.

The problem can be fixed by creating the missing symlink before the 
plugin runner is run.
