OK, so, thanks, I would like to apply the patch you have helpfully
provided.  Can you confirm your Signed-off-by according to
DEVELOPER-CERTIFICATE ?  (I have included a copy, below.)

The actual change is 1 character and furthermore derivative of rsync
so I don't think there is a copyright issue.  But I would like to
credit you and item (d) of the certificate seems relevant to that,
particularly given that I would be embedding your name and address
into the permanent git history.
