If government troops went against the civilian population, God help them
(the troops).  There are 390 million firearms in civilian hands in the US,
and even a bolt-action deer rifle with scope makes a fine sniper weapon.
Not to mention the number of ex-military (including Special Forces)
among the civilians, who have explosives and asymmetric warfare training.
Most of the current military is a bunch of fat-ass millenials, including
trannies and women, so I wouldn't worry too much about them.
