Sorry, I wasn't being entirely serious, but I was worried that putting a
smiley and a closing parenthesis immediately after might cause parsing
problems.

Of course, EasiWriter is one of the worst applications to test against as it
is very well written.  Testing against badly-written software is more
enlightening.
