What on earth would this accomplish, I wonder? We may not have really verified each others keys in person but when someone consistently signs with the same key the identity's reputation grows. You don't know me but with gpg signatures I verify that this message and most stuff (commits, tags) in my Github repositories (see the signature) is produced by the same identity. Someone may have seen me elsewhere, for example in Debian user mailing list, and I sign with this same key there too. That's at least some collection of data that makes a consistent "person" identity, even if an unknown one. -- /// Teemu Likonen - .-.. <https://github.com/tlikonen> // // PGP: 4E10 55DC 84E9 DFF6 13D7 8557 719D 69D3 2453 9450 ///
