Maybe all that's being said is that C source code needs lower case?  I
would not have picked on \n for that since the language is simple full
of the need for lower case so I may be misunderstand what Quadibloc
means here.

Just to clarify... A C implementation by translate '\n' into a sequence
like CR-LF on output to a text stream, but '\n' must be an integer value
in the range of char, and "\n" must be a string of length one.
