UEFI is what's in use now. So you have a GPT-partitioned HD? Is that something that is easily ealt with during Slackware installation? Using grub? Never used grub. Is grub the default app when installing 64 bit Slackware? Trying to avoid a snakepit of learning all about GPT, UEFI, secure boot and perhaps other stuff I don't evenknow the name of. My inclination is to revert to "legacy" MBR boot.
