I remembered something else, if you don't mind a GUI that comes along:

Pinot: http://pinot.berlios.de/
Recoll: http://www.lesbonscomptes.com/recoll/index.html.en

I have tried Pinot, which does the work well, however I stopped it since
I didn't use it very much, and it takes quite some resources.
